This project deals with the design of a mobile travel room.

About the project

It was preceded by the observation that camping vehicles are getting bigger, heavier and more luxurious.
However, travelers increasingly want to travel more sustainably and experience nature and culture individually. Current motorhomes and caravans are usually very closed to their environment and consist to a large extent of non-recyclable materials. This project is therefore about ergonomics, sustainable materials and an increased interaction with the environment of the mobile living space.

The shown functional prototype is a travelspace, open to nature and culture. For example the kitchen can be used both inside and out.  Large windows and hatches draw the outside environment into the cabin. The final cabin is made of wood, jute, wool felt and leather.
